On one end, you have a lens like the 24-105 F4 which is eh for everything and great at nothing.
On the other, you have a vintage 44mm prime manual focus.
Great for very specific things, unusable for others.
But lots of character.
Now I use a 24-70 f2.8, still versatile, but more usable for what I want.
You just have to decide where on the spectrum you want to be.
I didn't like being all the way versatile, but I appreciate a little flexibility in what I do, which is YouTube, church videos, even grabbing photos.
I've used the 24-70 for all of those.
Because creativity needs boundaries.
